This project addresses the issue of plastic packaging in the strawberry industry and transforms it into edible and biodegradable packaging.

The goal was to create a connection between the product and its packaging through a shared material narrative. During my research, I looked at how texture can impact the packaging experience for consumers which is why I was interested in incorporating the strawberry seeds into the kombucha leather. This was a way to possibly add interest and a new experience for consumers if this were to exist in the market. Additionally, I didn't come across any research where this had been done before, so it was a new pathway that I was interested in exploring.
